Perth’s Stuart Kostera remains one of Australia’s most underrated drivers and has been hand picked to lead Scud Racing’s charge in Australian F3 thanks to his blinding speed, excellent technical feedback and aggressive style behind the wheel.
Stuie's ability to develop a car and progress the development thoughout the season was a key reason for his signing with Scud as they expand their program in 2008.
Formula Ford’s rookie of the year in 1999 (when he finished fourth in the championship), Kostera also finished 4th in 2001 before a quiet few years from the racing landscape due to a lack of funding and the establishment of his business – Kostera’s Tyre Service – in Suburban Perth.
He returned with aplomb in 2006 guest driving a Porsche GT3 Cup Car, as well as making his F3 debut in the Trophy Class the same year.
He has since won in F3 and finished on the podium several times. His laid back approach makes him a fan favourite and his on-track performances make him the ideal driver to lead Scud Racing into the future.
